Het Wilde Noorden

Het Wilde Noorden is the initiative of Chef Benny Blisto of Restaurant BAK in Amsterdam and artist Claudy Jongstra. Together, they organize special Farm to Table multi-course dinners at LOADS, in the Frisian meadows, where Studio Claudy Jongstra is located. Here, they work with the best seasonal, biodynamic products from passionate local farmers, hunters, fishermen and gardeners. At each dinner, speakers are invited whose products are being used for cooking, complemented by herbs and vegetables from Jongstra and her partner, gardener Claudia Busson’s own biodynamic garden.
On 9 November, for instance, De Streekboer will join and tell an inspiring story. But Het Wilde Noorden wants to offer a broader perspective than cooking-related lecturers, such as cultivators or food producers. In the future, people from all kinds of other disciplines will also be invited, who, together with Blisto and Jongstra, share the same common sustainable philosophy and an artisanal way of working.
